Enjoy every minute of your life

"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."

Earl Nightingale1921-1989, Radio Announcer, Author and Speaker

Do Something!

"You only lose energy when life becomes dull in your mind. Your mind gets bored and therefore tired of doing nothing. Get interested in something! Get absolutely enthralled in something! Get out of yourself! Be somebody! Do something! The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have."

-Norman Vincent Peale

The Pursuit of Happyness

"Follow your dreams, dont' let anyone discourage you. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something."
-Chris Gardner

Life without limbs

Nick was born with no arms and no legs. On the day of his birth, his dad left the room to throw up and his mother was in tears. As a child, he was teased and bullied by his friends in school. Instead of CHOOSING to focus on his limitations, what he could not do and making himself feel useless and depressed, he instead chose to focus on what he HAD…his inner strength, his mind and his voice. Instead of blaming God, he chose to create a powerful meaning to his circumstances.

He chose to believe that being born this way happened for a purpose. God was using him as a model to inspiration and heal the world. The meaning we choose to give to our life’s experiences is the meaning we create. We can choose to see our adversities as ‘Problems or opportunities’ as ‘punishments or blessings’.

He chose to live not just an ordinary and normal life, but to live an extraordinary one. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. He is also a motivational speaker and has thus far spoken to over a MILLION People in Indonesia, Sweden, USA, Africa, etc…

His current goals are to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for himself to drive and to be interviewed and share his story on the ” Oprah Winfrey Show “! Writing several best-selling books has been one of his dreams and the title of his upcoming book will be called “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!”

Best scene in the movie "Evan Almighty"

Personally reckon this is the best scene in the movie "Evan Almighty"

At one point in the movie, God (Morgan Freeman) appears to Evan’s wife (Lauren Graham) as a restaurant waiter.
She is having trouble coming to grips with her husband’s calling as a modern day Noah and she blames him for humiliating and breaking up the family.
Then the conversation start:

Waiter(God): Excuse me, are you alright?
Wife: Yea…No!…Long Story
Waiter(God): But I like story. And I am very confident I am a story teller myself.
Wife: My Husband…did you heard of the New York Noar
Waiter(God): Hah..The guy building the ark
Wife: That’s him
Waiter(God): I love that story. Noar and the Ark. You know many people miss the point of the story, they think about God rap and anger. but they don’t know why god get angry.
Wife: So what is the story about then…the ark?
Waiter(God): Well…I think It is a Love Story about believing each other. You know the animals showed up in pairs. They stood by each other, side by side. Just like Noah and his family. Everybody entered the ark side by side.
Wife: But my husband told me God told him to do it. What do you do with that?

Waiter(God): "Sounds Like An Opportunity…Let me ask you something,
When you pray for patience, does God just give you patience?
Or does He give you opportunity to be patient?

When you pray for courage,
does He give you courage or opportunity to be courageous?

And, when you pray for your family to become closer,
does God just zap you with warm, fuzzy feelings
or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”

Waiter(God): Ok, i got a lot, a lot of people to serve. Enjoy.

Tot2day:
1. opportunities always come hidden as problems
2. You don't always get what you ask for directly, but the opportunity of how to get it.
3. No Pain, No Gain
4. If you are really so lucky to get what you wish for immediately or easily, it won't last for long. Because you will not cherish what you got.
5. Chinese old proverb - "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime"
6. Love and trust your partner... even he/she has some kind of crazy idea sometime.

Great story - Life is all about choices

Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, 'Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood.
Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.
Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.

"Yes, it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life."

I reflected on what Jerry said.

Soon thereafter, I left the restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that Jerry did something you are never supposed to do in a restaurant business: he left the back door open one morning and was held up at gunpoint by three armed robbers. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma center. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my scars?"
I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.
"The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied.
"Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.

Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, 'He's a dead man.' I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big, burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry.
"She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes,' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I toldthem, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.'"

Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

Always complain about your health?

Always complain this and that?

Incapability in certain thing just because of your health problem?

Always self-pity of yourself or always admire someone have better health condition than you?

No! before that, look at below photos and think back.
Compare to her,
We really got no right to complain about our health

Will you smile as happy as her if you have the same problem as her?
Is she unlucky?
maybe.
did she self-pity?
Answer is on her face!
did she inspire you?
I am not sure, but at least she really inspires me.
Next time when I am going to complain about my headache? tiredness? inconvenience? health?
just try to recall her smile and her condition!
That will definitely make me feel better about myself.

What I've Done

What I've done by Linkin Park

In this farewell,
There’s no blood,
There’s no alibi.
Cause I’ve drawn regret,
From the truth,
Of a thousand lies.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.

Put to rest,
What you thought of me.
While I clean this slate,
With the hands,
Of uncertainty.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.

For What I’ve Done

I'll start again,
And whatever pain may come.
Today this ends,
I’m forgiving what I’ve done.

I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.
What I’ve done.

Forgiving What I’ve Done.

How to avoid criticism?

"To avoid criticism, be nothing, do nothing and say nothing."
- Elbert Hubbard

Critics may say this and that, but in the end, you are the one that has to live your life, not them! Make it one that you lived for what you believe in.

-From his book "The Currency of the future" by Brad DeHaven

The most important days in your life

"The two most important days in someone's life are the day that they are born and the day they discover why."

-John Maxwell

Tot2day: Question time - Do you know why you are living in this world? Do you know why you need to suffer all these pain? what is your life purpose? Who and what is really matters most to you?

You created your Limit

"We don't have a clue as to what people's limits are. All the tests, stopwatches, and finish lines in the world can't measure human potential.
When someone is pursuing their dream, they will go far beyond what seems to be their limitations. The potential that exists within us is limitless and largely untapped. When you think of limits, you create them."

Breakaway

Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I just stared out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)
Trying hard to reach out
But when I'd try to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I pray (I would pray)
I could breakaway

[Chorus:]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway

Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And breakaway

[Chorus]
Buildings with a hundred floors
Swinging around revolving doors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but
Gotta keep moving on, moving on
Fly away, breakaway
I'll spread my wings
And I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget the place I come from
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway, breakaway, breakaway

Bonding

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so her asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."

The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand."

"What is the different?" asked the puzzled father.

"There is a big difference", replied the little girl "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So that the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold ours...

Here I Am - Bryan Adams

Song: HERE I AM LYRICS

Here I am - this is me
There's no where else on earth I'd rather be
Here I am - it's just me and you
And tonight we make our dreams come true

It's a new world - it's a new start
It's alive with the beating of young hearts
It's a new day - it's a new plan
I've been waiting for you
Here I am

Here we are - we've just begun
And after all this time - our time has come
Ya here we are - still goin' strong
Right here in the place where we belong

Chorus X1

Here I am - this is me
There's no where else on earth I'd rather be
Here I am - it's just me and you
And tonight we make our dreams come true

Chorus X2

Here I am - next to you
And suddenly the world is all brand new
Here I am - where I'm gonna stay
Now there's nothin standin in our way
Here I am - this is me

The 90/10 Principle

Author: Stephen Covey

Discover the 90/10 Principle.

It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).

What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is
decided by how you react
.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.

We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which
throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the
other 90%.

How? ¡¡¡.By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool
you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee
onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in
tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup
too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs
and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy
crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your
daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph
speed limit.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your
daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20
minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it
continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse
and daughter.

Why? ¡. Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?

B) Did your daughter cause it?

C) Did the policeman cause it?

D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5
seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok
honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush
upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time
to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and
waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss
comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was
determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something
negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You
don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a
friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound
on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you
curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your
drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.

Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time
into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour
frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.

Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It
will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results.
You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and
apply this principle.

The result?

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and
heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle
.

It CAN change your life!!!

Enjoy...

The Power of The Dream

Celine Dion - The Power Of The Dream

Celine Dion - The power of the Dream

Written By: David Foster, Babyface
Lyrics By: L. Thompson

Deep within each heart
There lies a magic spark
That lights the fire of our imagination
And since the dawn of man
The strength of just "I can"
Has brought together people of all nations

There's nothing ordinary
In the living of each day
There's a special part
Every one of us will play

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
As the world gives us its best
To stand apart from all the rest
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

Your mind will take you far
The rest is just pure heart
You'll find your fate is all your own creation
Every boy and girl
As they come into this world
They bring the gift of hope and inspiration

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
The world unites in hope and peace
We pray that it will always be
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

There's so much strength in all of us
Every woman child and man
It's the moment that you think you can't
You'll discover that you can

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
The world unites in hope and peace
We pray that it will always be
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
The world unites in hope and peace
We pray that it will always be
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

The power of the dream
The faith in things unseen
The courage to embrace your fear
No matter where you are
To reach for your own star
To realize the power of the dream
